Mitsuko Ogawa

Grants Administrator

Mitsuko manages the foundation grantmaking process, grantee database and reporting system, maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the central grant files. Prior to joining the Ms. Foundation in February 2010, she worked at the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Mitsuko has also worked with several human rights organizations, including Human Rights Watch, Center for Human Rights and Global Justice at the New York University School of Law and Coalition for the International Criminal Court. She earned her MS from New York University with a focus on International Law and Human rights where she wrote her master's thesis on post 9/11 International Law and US Policy and Use of Force in the Global War on Terror. She earned her BA in International Relations from San Francisco State University.

   

2010 Marie C. Wilson Young Woman's Leadership Awardee, Jasmin Woodbury, was the youngest youth organizer to ever join Direct Action for Rights and Equality (DARE). In her time at DARE Jasmin elevated the voices of youth, spearheading a campaign to make the local school board and the superintendent pay attention to the root causes of high drop-out rates in public schools.
